A. Introduction

Zoe Nicolaou is an Oral and MaxilloFacial Surgeon.
She specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Rabin Medical Center of Tel-Aviv University- Israel for 5 ½ years and she received the title of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in 2000. She has since been practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Limassol, Cyprus with special interest in Individuals with cranio facial syndromes and facial deformities.
Dr Nicolaou joined the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic in Athens as a Postgraduate Fellow for 2 years after graduating from the Dental School of Athens University in 1992, “first in class” and she recited the oath at the graduation ceremony receiving the reward of Colgate Palmolive.
She is holding since November 2014 a Vice Presidency position at the ICMFS (International College of Maxillo Facial Surgery. (www.icmfs.com).
Zoe Nicolaou is the founder and president of the Cyprus Association of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery.
In 2015 she hosted in Limassol, her home town, the 29th World Congress of the ICMFS (International College of Maxillo Facial Surgery) www.icmfs2015.com.

H. ICMFS 2015
Dr Zoe Nicolaou organized in Limassol, Cyprus the 29th World Congress of the International College for MaxilloFacial Surgery (ICMFS, 2015) between 05-09 October 2015. (www.icmfs2015.com).
The 29th World Congress of the International College for Maxillofacial Surgery aimed to create a meeting point for Maxillofacial Surgeons, researchers, scientists, academics and professionals in related areas from all over the world to facilitate this scientific community to share its experiences amongst each other as well as to provide learning and discussion in relation to the latest scientific achievements in this specialized area. The ulterior motive of the Congress was none other than the improvement of patients care and the attainment of a better quality of life.
The ascension of the Presidency of the 29th World Congress of the International College for Maxillo Facial Surgery took place in March of 2013 in Bad Hofgastein of Austria where following a voting the committee of the International College for Maxillofacial Surgery (www.icmfs.com), which was established in 1970, chose the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Zoe Nicolaou (President of the Cyprus Association for Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery) as the president of the 29th World Congress of Maxillofacial Surgery and Limassol, Cyprus as the 2015 destination.
The scientific program of the Congress included 6 Guest Society Associations,
20 Keynote Lecture Sessions, 2 Panel Discussions and 3 Symposiums, on hot topics with experienced speakers and moderators, 6 Masterclasses, given by
renowned experts, 11 Oral Sessions, with about 120 oral presentations,
and an E-poster session with 40 poster presentation. The ICMFS 2015 scientific program overall provided excellent opportunities to exchange ideas and expand visions.

Bojovic, Mommaerts, Shah, Ellis, Fliss, Reyneke, Rose, Posnick, Kaplan, Laskin, Calderon, Nahlieli, Triaca, Kowalski are only few of the protagonist of the 29th World Congress of the International College for Maxillo Facial Surgery . All the ICMFS 2015 keynote lecturers definitely made this event exceptional.

In total 500 practitioners from Cyprus and the World participated in the world effort to unite the community of OMFS and specialists from related fields and further advance science in our field. Through personal and professional networks the ICMFS 2015 helped strengthen the development of clinical research and service in the field of OMFS as well as allowed doctors and professionals from all over the world to see Cyprus and have a wonderful time in the sunny and beautiful island of Aphrodite.
